I had so much fun shooting Jillian and Andy’s Providence Cotton Mill engagement! The fact that we were able to incorporate guitars and a motorcycle made it all pop more. The Providence Cotton Mill is one of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues in the country which is why I thought it would be a fabulous location to shoot an engagement. To start the shoot off, we got some fun warm couple shots in doors before moving outside.
When Andy broke out the guitar, your boys eyes started watering. It was an emotional moment for both of them. He is a musician and some love songs ready to sing to her and it made for a very romantic mood. We took some nice natural light shots indoors as well as some fun off camera flash shots. After these intimate and musical moments, we stepped outside to have some fun.
Once we got outside we added some dancing to the shoot. Nothing like some twirls will show you a couples love for one another. We even got Andy’s motorcycle for some steamy shots towards the end. I love how we mixed up the shots from playful to steamy to serious. I fully recommend The Providence Cotton Mill to any couples for engagements or weddings, its such a special place. Everyone should have their engagement shoot at the Providence Cotton Mill.
I shot all these pictures with my Nikon Z6. The lenses I used were the Nikon 85 1.4 and the Tamron 35 1.4. For the flash shots I used speed lights with MAGMOD modifiers. Also my camera strap and bag that I used were from Holdfast Gear. To see more pictures like these please check out my blog.
