I had so much fun shooting Anna and Joes Vineyard wedding at Dennis Vineyards in Albemarle North Carolina. From what I saw, you’re always going to get some tasty fresh wine at a Dennis Vineyards wedding. This was of course during the COVID-19 pandemic, so there was a restriction on guests and of course we had to wear masks in certain situations. That didn’t stop us from having the time of our lives. As all weddings start, hair and makeup was first up on our list of things to capture.
We began at an air bnb near by. The girls got their hair and makeup done, while also enjoying some snacks and beverages. All the prep for the ladies was done here before we took off for Dennis Vineyards to partake in a vineyard wedding. The guys got ready at the vineyards in a getting ready space. The vineyards have a room for the ladies to get ready in as well, but they wanted more space and intimacy so they chose the off venue location.
After everyone got read, I met up with Joe to read a letter from Anna. I love capturing alone moments like these. Before we knew it, the time for the vineyard wedding ceremony had come upon us. The ceremony took place outside under a tree. It was a very bright day out so it was tricky with dappled light. After that, I snagged some fun outdoor bride and groom images, and then we went inside for all of the festivities. The night ended with a fun sparkler exit.
The majority of my images were caught using my Sony A9 and my Sony A7Riii. The lenses I chose to use mostly were the Sigma 35 1.4 lens and the Sony 85 1.8 lens. All off camera flash shots used MAGMOD modifiers to help shape the light. My camera straps and bags used were by Holdfast Gear.
