Had a blast shooting Quin and Nicole not only in Charlotte but also down in Lancaster for their South Carolina engagement shoot at The Ivy Place. I’m a big fan of using not only multiple outfits but also multiple locations for engagement shoots. For this shoot we started in South End Charlotte at Jeni’s Ice Cream, before heading off to the Ivy Place for their South Carolina engagement shoot. Tag along with me on a journey through their images.
Before we went down to the Ivy Place for their South Carolina engagement shoot, we began at the heart wall in South End Charlotte. This is a fun spot that a lot of couples love to have their pictures taken at. From their we got ice cream and then went to NoDa to get some fun shots on a bridge with the city in the background. After that it was time to go do our South Carolina engagement shoot.
As soon as we arrived at the Ivy Place we started shooting around the beautiful fields they had there. I got a wide variety of shots on this South Carolina engagement shoot, from natural light shots to off camera flash. Also had some fun with some sunset silhouettes. As I do on a lot of my shoots, I allow my couples to have as many outfit changes as they need. To finish off their shoot, we shot around the house at the Ivy Place. We finished with some fun dancing shots.
The Ivy Place was a fun place to shoot and I recommend couples check them out for their weddings or South Carolina engagement shoots. As far as the gear I used for this shoot, I had Nikon Z6’s along with the Tamron 35 1.4 and the Nikon 85 1.4. For my off camera flash work I used Godox flashes fitted with many different Magmod modifiers. To see more work like this check out my blog.
