As someone who loves all things Disney and would love to be a Disney wedding photographer, being asked to capture a proposal in front of Cinderellas castle was life full-filling. Capturing love is my favorite thing to do, and the Magic Kingdom is my favorite place to be so this was a no brainer. The weather couldn’t have been better on the day. Ok I lied, it could have been cooler! I stayed in constant contact with David during the day, and when he was ready for is Disney proposal to Jessica, I was in place to capture the moment.
The Disney proposal went smoothly and she said yes! This was one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone on main street started clapping as soon as he dropped to a knee. I had goosebumps the entire time. To be able to become a Disney wedding photographer would be amazing. Just imagine how awesome it would be to capture a couples big day at the Magic Kingdom. Or it could even be the Animal Kingdom or Epcot, but just to be able to say you’re a Disney wedding photographer would be so epic.
After the big question, we walked all over the Magic Kingdom and had a blast together. I was there just for the proposal but we figured we could parlay that into a fun engagement shoot as well. You’ll notice we had iconic snacks as well as got some great shots on some famous rides. If my wife and I ever want to re-new our vows, I would love to do it here. I’m praying that I will be able to say I’m a Disney wedding photographer sometime in the near future.
For my shoot here I used my Nikon D750’s as well as my Tamron 15-30 G2 lens, and my Tamron 70-200 G2 lens. I wanted to go with zooms for this trip to give me ultimate flexibility. Flexibility is key when trying to capture a proposal in a super crowded area. You need to always remember when there’s big crowds, it’s going to be harder for you to move around. To be a Disney wedding photographer, I think the zoom lenses would be very important.
