This Charlotte city engagement shoot is easily one of my favorites of all time. We started at this really dope Charlotte Hornets inspired basketball court near downtown Charlotte. Both of these two played college ball so we wanted to incorporate a passion of theirs into the shoot. We got to the courts early enough to beat the crowd. That would’ve been a pain in the ass trying to do this shoot with a game going on. Not only did I snag some posed shots, I also got some of them having a 1 on 1 game. I really love how these turned out.
After our 1 on 1 game, we took off for downtown Charlotte. Any time I do a Charlotte city engagement shoot, I make sure to tell my couples to bring multiple outfits for different looks. I always have a pop up changing tent with me so we can get in and out of outfits quickly. There are some really cool buildings with big windows for reflection shots, so you’ll notice we got a bunch of those. Also any time I do an engagement shoot downtown Charlotte, I make it a point to get some alley shots.
Earlier in the day it rained in the city, so I took my couple to the top of a park deck on our Charlotte city engagement shoot. I knew we could capitalize on the rain and get some fun water reflection shots. For all the shots using flash, I used all of my MAGMOD modifiers to help create. You for sure get a nice city vibe in these pics from our engagement shoot downtown Charlotte. You will also notice we got some great nature shots as well. Theres a bunch of pocket parks throughout the city to help out with that.
I can’t wait to shoot this couples wedding this year down in St. Augustine Florida at the Lightner Museum. I will be sure to post those pictures in a blog post after the fact. That wraps up this post from my Charlotte city engagement shoot. If you like these pictures and want to see more, check out my work gallery as well as my other blog posts.
