As a Charlotte brand photographer I have had the privilege of working with many local area brands from candle makers to clothing companies. Nothing paired better to me than shooting the Coast to Coast Tattoo shop and its owner Mikey Holmes. I have many tattoos in traditional style on my body and I absolutely love tattoos. Mikey Holmes in my eyes in the best in the south. I go to him all the time when I want to get work done. In this post I will cover all things Coast to Coast Tattoo shop. It was very important for me as a Charlotte brand photographer to make sure I captured everything.
To start this shoot out it was important for me to get good shots of the shop. I started with the outside and then came inside. I love how the walls are covered with tattoo flash. The shop is perfect in every sense of the word. The imagery, the colors, the clean smell, and the vibe. They always have dope music playing while you’re getting work done. Mikey Holmes has been tattooing for a long damn time. He’s been in magazines and is considered one of the best in the game. His waiting room is always packed. Both my wife and I have lots of work done by him.
In the picks below, after I show you the shop, I then show you many picks of the entire crew that work there. I even show some shots of people getting work done. If they’re not tattooing a customer, they’re drawing and working on their craft. The entire crew is amazing and always have appointments rolling in. It was important for me, a Charlotte brand photographer to capture them working on their craft to show their customers.
After covering the shop and crew I took some time to shoot some models with the shops merchandise. You have to be able to show off merchandise well if you want to be a great Charlotte brand photographer. I shot around the shop but also went downtown Charlotte for some pictures as well. The merchandise design represents traditional rad tattoos. It clearly matches the vibe of all things Coast to Coast Tattoo shop.
