As a proud Charlotte photographer, I shoot many different categories of photography. I’m known for my weddings and couple shoots, but I also shoot families, seniors and models. And on this day in NoDa right outside of Salud, I had a blast shooting the beautiful and super talented model, Megan.
As I mentioned above we were shooting in NoDa Charlotte which is the most colorful place to shoot in and around the city. It has a vibrant down home vibe with loads of wall art. The vibe is for sure hippy. For the most part on this shoot I kept it all natural light except for the first few pictures where I used a flash with my MAGMOD box.
As far as gear used on this shoot, I primarily shot with my Nikon Z6’s, fitted with the Nikon 105 1.4 and the Sigma 35 1.4 art. I prefer to shoot with 2 cameras, always having a telephoto lens on one of them, and a wide angle lens on the other. That gives me the freedom to move far away or come in close as needed. For this shoot I used my Peak Design bag to walk the streets with.
We ended our shoot on this dope bridge that has the full Charlotte sky line in the background. I was able to get a few sun flares but probably needed to be there a pinch earlier to get more. All in all I had a blast on this shoot. Megan was super dope to work with and I hope I can shoot with her again in the future.
