I had the most fun shooting this cherry blossom engagement at the DC Cherry Blossom Festival. The DC Cherry Blossom Festival takes place every year in March. In March you never know what kind of weather you’re going to get in DC so it was important to pack a wide array of clothes for myself. This cherry blossom engagement turned out great but I was scared at first because it was raining all morning. The rain ended up clearing up right around the time of the shoot which was great.
We started this DC cherry blossom engagement on the National Mall. Once we got there is was just an adventures all over the place and to multiple monuments so make sure we got different looks around all of the cherry blossoms. Since there was overcast, I never had to bring out my flash. I fly doing flash photography, but its nice when there is overcast and you don’t have to force it. I think my couples like that as well, as the shoot becomes more fluid.
We went to a really nice church the couple liked once we finished at the National Mall. This church had a bunch of cherry blossoms all around which helped make this cherry blossom engagement great! When we got there, we did an outfit change and continued shooting. We stepped inside the church at one point and they were holding Mass. Everyone looked at me, so uncomfortable. We then popped back outside to get a few more shots for this dc cherry blossom engagement shoot.
