Being an Asheville wedding photographer Ive seen many beautiful venues, but none as beautiful as The Swayer Family Farmstead. That says a lot especially when you consider the likes of The Biltmore House. From their cottages, their Christmas trees and their wonderful ceremony site, its hard to find a place that compares. I also want to mention that of all the wedding venues I’v e shot at, i’ve never been treated better than I was with the fine folks at The Sawyer Family Farmstead.
The day started out in the bridal suite with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready with hair and makeup. After that we met with the guys at the grooms suite to get some shots of them getting ready. The wedding ceremony was so beautiful. The ceremony suite overlooked a gorgeous lake off in the distance. We got lucky that the sun wasn’t so harsh that day. During the ceremony we got some clouds.
After the wedding ceremony, I shot family, full bridal party, and then into bride & groom pictures. We took our time getting shots all over the venue including many inside their Christmas tree lanes. When our bride and groom time was over, we had speeches and dancing. This is a night I’ll never forget! I’m so happy for these two! I received some good news from them a few weeks ago that they will be moving back to Charlotte. Hopefully that means I’ll get to shoot with them again and share some beers.
