Providence Cotton Mill Bridal Shoot

Weddings

Had so much fun on this Providence Cotton Mill Bridal Shoot! This venue is easily one of my favorites and you’ll see why. The architecture there is just stunning. No glass windows, just huge industrial openings letting in so much beautiful natural lights. I’d love to shoot a snow wedding here. On this day however I was doing a bridal shoot at the Providence Cotton Mill with my beautiful bride Danielle. I started here with some wide shots dab in the middle of the venue with my Tamron 35 1.4 lens before getting tight shots with the Nikon 105 1.4.

I took advantage of the big window openings on the side to let beautiful light in. By placing my bride in the openings it allowed all the natural light to hit her, and then I could darken my exposure around here to get a beautiful contrasted look. While this was my first Providence Cotton Mill bridal shoot, I hope it won’t be my last, I had way too much fun there. The venue also had this big door that I placed my bride in to get some cool looking shots. You’ll notice that I make sure to get the backs of my brides dresses any time I shoot a bride. You have to show the dress off.

After shooting inside we went outside for this Providence Cotton Mill bridal shoot. I wanted to get a lot of the beautiful architecture on the outside of the building in a lot of shots as well. Again I got some tight shots to show off just how beautiful her smile is, and some wide shots to show off the dress. We took a few playful shots out here of her favorite beer. Along with natural light shots, I also got. few of her lit using some MAGMOD grids.

While on the outside of the venue I also got a really cool shot taking in the entire venue building on this Providence Cotton Mill bridal shoot. I lit her in the shot so that she stands out, but both her and the venue shined in that one. I brought here back inside to close out the shoot to get some dancing shots. Instead of standing in the venue with her, I climbed some stairs on the outside and shot down on her from an opening above. It’s always good to try and shoot from below or above to make your images stand out.

I hope you enjoy these images of this Providence Cotton Mill bridal shoot. If you love these images, be sure to check out my work gallery or some of my other blog posts.
