Had a blast traveling to New York to shoot this intimate wedding for a friend. I also got to work alongside a great friend of mine who shoots weddings, TNK Photo. As a New York wedding photographer shooting in the winter you have to be prepared for the cold and wind, thank goodness we all were. We stayed in a hotel in New Jersey to capture this wedding as it was closer to the couples venue.
The day started with meeting up with the groom to shoot wedding and getting ready details. The couple have the most beautiful baby girl, so I had to capture some of her details as well. Being a New York wedding photographer is a blast, because theres so many cool and interesting neighborhoods to shoot in. Their lovely neighborhood served as a beautiful backdrop for their first look. After the first look and some portraits, we took off toward the venue to shoot before the festivities began.
When we got to the couples venue we began shooting more bride and groom photos. After we knocked those out, we got some bridal party shots. We then had the ceremony and a beautiful reception where a ton of dancing ensued. As a New York wedding photographer, you have to be prepared to move quickly from one moment of the day to the next. Once the wedding was completed, we all took off back to the hotel to end the day with pizza and whiskey.
